SPIN OVER Strategic Promotion of Innovation and New Media for Outstanding Ventures in Education and Research is a European cooperation project funded by the Erasmus+ Programme. The project was created to support university-based startups, research spin-offs, and young entrepreneurs in one of their biggest challenges: turning innovative research into visible, market-ready solutions.

Across Europe, many promising ideas emerge from universities and research centres, but too often they struggle to reach the market due to limited communication skills, lack of digital strategies, and insufficient knowledge of Artificial Intelligence tools. SPIN OVER addresses this gap by providing practical, accessible, and innovative training focused on digital communication, new media, and AI-driven marketing.

By bringing together universities, research institutions, innovation hubs, and an SME born as a university spin-off, SPIN OVER builds a collaborative European ecosystem where knowledge, best practices, and innovation can circulate freely and generate long-term impact.

Our Objectives

SPIN OVER pursues a set of interconnected objectives that respond directly to the needs of higher education innovation ecosystems. The project aims to enhance the communication and entrepreneurial skills of university-based startups and young researchers, supporting them in bridging the gap between research and market.

At the same time, SPIN OVER promotes digital and Artificial Intelligence literacy, enabling participants to use AI tools for branding, content creation, and data-driven decision-making. Another key objective is to foster collaboration and networking among European universities, research parks, incubators, and innovation hubs, strengthening cross-border cooperation and knowledge exchange. Finally, the project seeks to develop high-quality, multilingual Open Educational Resources that remain accessible beyond the project’s duration and can be integrated into higher education and entrepreneurial training contexts across Europe.

Our Mission

The mission of SPIN OVER is to empower academic entrepreneurs with the skills and tools they need to communicate their ideas effectively, increase their visibility, and compete in an increasingly digital and global market.

The project focuses on strengthening science communication, digital storytelling, and AI-based marketing strategies, helping startups and spin-offs translate complex research outcomes into clear, engaging, and impactful messages. Through open educational resources and hands-on learning activities, SPIN OVER aims to support a new generation of innovators capable of combining research excellence with strong communication and digital competence.
